Forge is R Lukins’ new strength and conditioning gym, perfect for sports specific athletes, with the members of staff having experience and qualifications in Strength and conditioning, Exercise referral, HYROX coaching, Strongman, Olympic lifting and Power lifting.
Forge strength and fitness is a 12m/30m converted barn filled with brand new equipment including established brands such as Concept2, Mirafit and Primal Strength. There is a variety of cardiovascular equipment in addition to the large free weights area and strongman section.
Because Forge strength and fitness is privately owned, it offers a personal touch when signing up for a membership as you will be able to interact with a highly qualified instructor to set a personalised training routine to reach your goals. We also offer a low cost membership and no contract so you can cancel or freeze your membership at any time.



HYROX AFFILIATION

HYROX combines both running & functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.
Accommodating both professional athletes, and everyday fitness enthusiasts looking to take their training to the next level, HYROX is the sport for everybody.
Whether you are looking to take on HYROX by yourself in our Open or Pro category, share the experience with a teammate in the Doubles Categories, or split HYROX four ways in our Team Relay category, we have a race for everyone.

Exercise classes are a great way to increase the intensity of your workouts whilst ensuring proper form and technique performed under an instructor’s supervision. We offer a variety of classes that focus on strength and endurance, but we are always wanting to progress in the gym and look to add more classes in time.
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
HYROX:
Unleash your inner athlete with our HYROX Class—the ultimate combination of strength, endurance, and functional fitness! Designed to expose you to the demands of a HYROX race and improve your overall fitness, this session blends rowing, SkiErg, sled work, kettlebells, and bodyweight movements into a high-intensity workout.
Conditioning:
Build endurance, power, and resilience with our Conditioning Class—a high-energy session designed to improve your cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, and overall athletic performance. This class combines interval training, machine-based cardio (Row, SkiErg, Bike), functional movements, and bodyweight exercises to keep your heart rate up and your energy high.
Strength and Conditioning:
Whether you are an athlete training for your next competition or Steve from over the road wanting to be the best version of themselves, Strength and conditioning is for you! We combine Strength and power training with cardio, anaerobic and aerobic conditioning. You will experience what its like to be a true athlete.
Strength and Conditioning truly brings all aspects of Forge together, from heavy lifting like a Strongman, to having the endurance like a Hyrox athlete.
Women’s Barbell:
Unlock your strength and confidence with our women’s barbell class, designed to help you build power, technique, and muscle in a supportive and empowering environment. Whether you’re new to lifting or looking to refine your skills, this class will teach you proper barbell technique, progressive strength training, and functional movement patterns to help you feel stronger inside and outside the gym.
Each session focuses on compound lifts: squats, deadlifts, presses, and pulls, alongside accessory work to further develop your strength, stability, and endurance. You’ll develop confidence in your lifts whilst becoming a part of a strong lifting community!
Strongman:
Get ready to lift, carry, drag, and push your way to next-level strength with our Strongman Training Class! This session is designed to build raw power, functional strength, and endurance using both conventional and strongman specific equipment as well as full-body movements.
Whether you’re a beginner looking to build confidence or an experienced lifter wanting to challenge your limits, this class will push you to be stronger, more resilient, and more powerful than ever.



MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS
To become a member you can either join online, or contact us to arrange a visit to see the facilities and have a chat.
There is no contract, so you won’t be tied into any payments if you decide to cancel your membership. A £5.99 joining fee is applicable.
Day Pass/Pay As You Go – We also offer access to the gym and classes on a pay as you go basis: £10
Platinum Membership – All classes and gym access to both R Lukins and Forge: £75 per month
Gold Membership – Allows access to the gym only in both R Lukins and Forge: £50 per month
