Group exercise classes are a great way to help increase the intensity of your workout whilst ensuring the correct techniques and movements are performed under an instructor’s supervision. We offer a variety of classes focusing on factors such as speed, strength, endurance, toning, flexibility and core stability. But we are constantly looking to progress our group workout programme, and will be aiming to increase the number and variety of classes in the near future.
Abs : Abs classes are all about developing and strengthening your stomach area. The class is always varied so it's different and exciting each week. All exercises have adaptations and alternatives so if you can't quite do a particular exercise it's easily adapted. You’re guaranteed to strengthen, condition and tone your midsection and all muscle groups within the core area. Boxing Padwork : A martial arts approach to fitness, this combat style of training is suitable for everyone. It’s a great full body workout which will lead to improved fitness, coordination, reaction time, agility, balance, speed and power. It’s a great stress busting class. Circuits :A multi stationed group exercise class that combines cardiovascular fitness with muscular strength and endurance.Circuit training is a fantastic workout that’s great for everyone, regardless of fitness level. Whatever your fitness level, you can go through the circuit at your own pace, so it’s perfect for everyone, whether you’re a fitness fanatic or someone who’s just getting back into exercise. Dance Fit : A fun dance class with a mix of Latin, aerobic and disco dance inspired moves. A class to get you moving, having fun and exercising at the same time. Disco Stretch & Flex: Your monthly mobility class! Maintaining general joint health and mobility is a necessity as no matter what age you’re at, or how active you are. But I get it…mobility isn’t fun!....in comes Disco Stretch & Flex. Stretching and mobility based sessions that aim to improve flexibility, increase blood circulation and increase your range of motion. All done to fast paced 80’s/90’s music. It’s not yoga, and it’s not dance….it’s about keeping yourself mobile for as long as you can in a fun way. HIIT: Work hard, rest…..and do it all again! High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) involves short bursts of intense exercise, alternated with low intensity recovery periods. HIIT is an efficient class that will give you the best results in the shortest time possible. Kettlebells: Strengthen and tone your whole body. You will swing, lunge and squat your way to improving your strength, core stability, balance, flexibility and coordination in our kettlebell class. This class is suitable for everyone. Legs, Bums and Tums: A great workout for the abs and lower body, Legs, Bums and Tums will tone, shape, burn fat and improve flexibility. Lunge, jump, crunch, step, squat and feel your lower body getting tighter, using both weights and your own bodyweight. Les Mills Body Balance :Ideal for anyone and everyone, BODYBALANCE is the yoga-based class that will improve your mind, your body and your life. During BODYBALANCE an inspired soundtrack plays as you bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves and embrace elements of Tai Chi and Pilates. Les Mills Body Combat :BODYCOMBAT is a fiercely energetic workout to get you fit, fast and strong. Unleash and empower yourself. BODYCOMBAT is a high-energy martial arts inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness. Les Mills Body Pump: Work all major muscle groups. Get lifting with BODYPUMP and you’ll tone and shape your entire body. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. Les Mills Grit Strength : GRIT Strength is a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness and build lean muscle. This workout uses barbell, weight plate and bodyweight exercises to blast all major muscle groups. LES MILLS GRIT Strength takes cutting-edge HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you, motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast. Les Mills RPM:RPM is a group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It’s fun and low impact. RPM is a great way to build up your sense of personal achievement. You can draw from the group’s energy and find your rhythm in the music. You control your own resistance levels and speed so you can build up your fitness level over time. It’s a journey, not a race! Pilates: This is a dynamic Pilates class. We utilise modern Pilates exercises which incorporate functional exercise principles. We have created a class that will give you increased core strength, flexibility, mobility and stability. The class includes floor and standing work. This class is not suitable for those with serious spine conditions/injury. Step:Choreographed to high energy music, this Step class offers a great cardio and strength workout. Step aerobics will help you build your stamina and increase endurance.Great if your goal is weight loss, toning or general fitness. Yoga :Multi-level class accessible to all, based on Ashtanga Vinyasa, Hatha and Power yoga, paying attention to breath ,mind and movement improving strength and core stability.
Vinyasa, is moving, from one pose to another as seamlessly as possible. Each session covering the basics and a variety of other postures. Suitable for anyone wishing to stretch out, flexibility is not a requirement.
Warm up and basic key elements are incorporated into all sessions and alternatives and supportive adjustments are given. Arm balances and headstands may be incorporated into some sessions, working through the various stages to the final posture to challenge those who wish to have a go. Yoga Vinyasa:This Vinyasa Flow class is suitable for all abilities, with options for beginners and the more practiced Yogi. Led by breath and movement, set to music, this class is designed to build strength, cardiovascular fitness and enhance the awareness of the body and mind connection. Concluding in a short, guided meditation, you will leave the class feeling stretched, strengthened, and grounded.
